Where our data comes from

The site uses a warehouse-first data pipeline. Each reported fact keeps its source and retrieval history; the public site reads the reconciled record rather than whichever provider happened to respond last.

TCA / Bound calendar

Used for: Dates, times, venues, home/away designations, team levels and schedule changes.

The tokenized calendar address stays inside the data service. Public records retain provenance without publishing that address.

MaxPreps

Used for: Reported high-school scores, period scoring, rosters and game statistics where the sport and contest provide them.

Reported counts are stored; percentages and rates are calculated locally. Opponent athlete rows remain in the private source archive and are never published.

CHSAA

Used for: Official sport alignment, classifications, postseason information, rankings, championship history and official result pages.

CHSAA remains authoritative for classifications, postseason decisions and state records.

NFHS Network

Used for: Broadcast links for events carrying an official stream.

The site links to the event; it does not reproduce the broadcast.

Official result systems and team exports

Used for: Meet, tournament, bracket and sport-specific detail that a general schedule cannot represent.

Fields are mapped only after a real provider sample is verified. Missing detail stays missing rather than being inferred.

Verified manual corrections

Used for: Corrections supplied by TCA staff, coaches or an administrator when a provider record is incomplete or wrong.

Every override is audited and can be compared with the original observation. It does not erase the source record.

How conflicting reports are handled

Source observations are append-only. Field-level priority rules select the public value, disagreements remain visible to administrators, and a conflict resolves automatically when the sources later converge. A lower-priority report is never silently deleted.

What the public site does not expose

Raw source files, private archive keys, hashes, provider IDs or source URLs.
Any opponent athlete's name or individual statistics.
Junior high rosters, athlete names, individual statistics or athlete pages.
Fields a provider did not report; blank is not converted to zero.
